Arboriculture, urban forestry operationsShort description of Project
Delayed traumatic reiterations (DTRs) are branches that grow back after the loss of branches (by any cause, including pruning operations). DTRs are especially problematic for utility arborists, who regularly prune trees under electrical wires to prevent loss of power and to reduce fire risks. My project aims to determine the impact of climate change on the growth rate of DTRs in trees growing under electrical wires to better assess future needs for utility arborists.
